Mr. David Burke
David Burke is Managing Director, North American Client Development for MKP Capital Management, L.L.C., a New York-based investment management firm. Prior to joining MKP, Mr. Burke was a Partner, Managing Director and Head of Strategic Initiatives at Arrowhawk Capital Partners.
From 1993 to 2008, Mr. Burke worked in U.S. domestic and international financial services in New York, London and Johannesburg. Mr. Burke volunteered full time on the National Finance Committee and the Connecticut Steering Committee for Bush-Cheney ’04.
Mr. Burke is a Director of the Connecticut Hedge Fund Association (www.cthedge.org), where has served since January 2012. Previously, he has served as a Director of several not-for-profit organizations including FC Safe Kids, where he served as President of the Board in 2008, and The Boys Choir of Harlem. He formerly served as a Commissioner of the United States Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad, to which President George W. Bush appointed him in 2005. Mr. Burke is a past member of the Endowment Society of the Naval Special Warfare Foundation, and an Ambassador of its successor organization, the Navy SEAL Foundation.
Mr. Burke has lived in Switzerland, the United Kingdom and South Africa. He is fluent in Spanish, proficient in French and conversant in German. Mr. Burke holds a BS in Management from Binghamton University in New York.
